Megan Lockett
Megan is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative practice spans sculpture, painting and interior design. Her love for arts, wildlife and growing up in the beautiful Lutruwita/Tasmanian landscape has encouraged her to draw inspiration from the interconnected themes of nature and nurture and explore the evolving relationship between humans and all living creatures. Through a combination of sculptural forms and expressive paintings, she investigates concepts of coexistence, environmental stewardship, identity and the impact of human activity on the natural world.
Holding a Batchelor of Contemporary Arts from UTAS and Diplomas in Interior Design and Dental Technology, her work reflects a deep appreciation for both artistic expression and spatial aesthetics.
Alongside her artistic work, Megan volunteers in wildlife rescue, an experience that has profoundly influenced her understanding of care, coexistence, and environmental responsibility. These themes are central to her work, which seeks to explore the delicate balance between human intervention and the resilience of the natural world.
Megan’s work has recently been exhibited in group exhibitions in Melbourne, and she continues to develop a practice grounded in Tasmania’s rich natural environment while contributing to contemporary conversations around ecology, connection, and care.
