Dr Tamara Reynish
Dr Tamara Reynish (PhD, MSW, MA, GradDipEd, BA) is a Lutruwita-based academic at University of Tasmania and Founder/Director of Second-Nature Styling, a sustainable, inclusive styling company and Reynish Wellbeing, a mental health consultancy, education, and support service.
Tamara (she/they) has worked with the visual, literary, and performing arts sectors on Turtle Island and Ktaqmkuk in a range of roles, including as president of a literary arts foundation, executive director of a journal of arts & culture, assistant director of an art gallery for emerging and regional artists, fund developer for an opera company, editor and fund developer for an international biennial choral music festival, board member of a writers’ alliance, editor in chief of multiple publishing houses, coordinator of an artist-run contemporary art gallery, and fund developer for another artist-run centre and an artists’ collective. Tamara’s personal art practice is amateur and involves recontextualization, exploring transformation and reinterpretation.
