Single echidna quill earrings, created as a way to continue to connect with my culture, as well as bring attention to the importance of caring for our land and its native animals. All quills are collected from road killed echidnas, and every care is taken to be respectful to the passed animal that is then is put to rest.”

Bonnie Starick is a pakana woman of the Trawlwoolway nation from the Country of Trebrakunna. Her blood lines come from a long line of strong women; Grandmothers Emmerenna, Wathikawitja and Elizabeth Maynard. Bonnie has completed a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts and has a strong passion for First Nations arts and culture. She takes pride in creating and supporting every opportunity to give back to her Community, through the arts, cultural practices and education. Bonnie shares her knowledge with Community through First Nations exhibitions, including exhibitions at Nayri Niara, Rant Arts and the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair. Alongside this, Bonnie is a culturally inspired artist who enjoys many art forms with a strong passion for photography, textile design and Indigenous fashions.
