“There is an understated power in the gesture of this tiny creature of the microworld that persists on the periphery of coastal infrastructure. Along the edge of the boat ramp, the depressions left by decomposed tyres in the concrete have been re-colonised by small ecospheres. Immediately beyond, the community in the rocks continues in the sheltered gaps and crevices between the retreat and approach of the tide in endless succession.”
Sentinal was a finalist in the 2024 Bay of Fires Art Prize.
Kelly-Marie Lewis completed a Diploma of Art, Craft and Design specialising in printmaking, prior to a Bachelor of Contemporary Art, extending into other media.
