Raised amongst the cliffs and quiet forests of Belgium, this artist developed an early fascination with the layered stories found in landscapes. It lead to the completion of a BFA at KU Leuven, where they focused on rural European traditions and the power of spoken memory.

After spending a year studying traditional craft and folk art practices in Norway, the artist relocated to Tasmania, drawn by its isolation and raw, cinematic terrain.

The vastness brings solace, residing in a converted shearer’s shed, they barter their work for the land’s mercy.

This artist’s practice explores themes of transience, belonging, and place, with a focus on incorporating found materials. Exploration of land and field research often inform the work, taking inspiration from long walks and the subtle shifts of weather. Private by nature, this artist keeps a low profile but has quietly built a body of work that resonates with those attuned to stillness, slowness, and the emotional depth of land.
