'Circling' explorers the interplay of the circle and the square through the lens of material, form and symbology. Specifically the involvement of humans in the construction of short sighted, harmful, disconnected systems and their inevitable erosion by ancient/natural systems.
Isaac Williams Design Objects, is the studio of lutruwita (Tasmanian) Designer & Artist Isaac Williams. Born into a maker culture in the rural northeast, since completing his Bachelor of Environmental Design (Arch) at Utas, work has taken the form of both hand-crafted object and visual pieces. Exploring the collection, refinement and curation of discarded objects and materials. Looking at waste as an archeological artefact and therefore what inviting it back into our daily lives, by representing it with beaty and function, can reveal about our relationship with the material world. Works have been shown across Tasmania and Victoria, including Design Tasmania, Sawtooth ARI, No Vacancy, Marfa Gallery and Salamanca Arts Centre.
