The cracked clay ground beneath the rainforest canopy serves as a metaphor for the fragility of ecosystems, with gold wabi sabi-style paint within the crevices. This artistic choice reflects the inherent imperfections and transient nature of life, echoing the Japanese philosophy that finds beauty in impermanence and imperfection.

Darryl has had work shown across Australia including Vivid Sydney, Illuminate Adelaide, Mona Foma, Beaker St Festival, The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, The Glover, Blake, and Outback Art Prizes as well as having artworks collected by Artbank Australia, QVMAG and many private collections globally.
